    Soundscape Dinner Dance 2010 & Staff Sponsored Grade3athon

    We are extremely pleased to announce that fundraising activity stimulated by the Soundscape Dinner Dance on Friday 28th May raised a whopping £3,500 towards the wonderful music therapy project! Thank you so much to our sponsors, donors, trustees and all our volunteers who helped out with the event, and most of all to our guests who attended and demonstrated their support to help keep this vital service running. Don't worry if you missed out: we hope to organise another dinner dance next year, which will be just as amazing, if not bigger!

    We are also celebrating the valiant efforts of seventeen of our esteemed Academy staff who raised just over £2,000 in the sponsored challenge, the ‘Grade3athon’, whereby these brave souls took their grade 3 AB exam on an instrument thay had little or no previous contact with! The monies raised will contribute towards the Academy Singers' Choir tour of Belgium and Soundscape music therapy. Stay tuned for our next sponsored challenge, which we hope parents and students can get involved in next time. You will soon be able to see a video of some of their efforts here on the website.

    Helen Mason, Principal of the Academy says "The Spring Festival was bigger and better than ever before, and we have been astounded at the quality of the performances that the students have produced."
