Audition for The Stopping Place 2024!

7 February 2024

Brolly Productions and Newham Music are holding auditions to find young people to join our core group of performers for our production of The Stopping Place, being performed in Summer 2024!

The Stopping Place is a powerful large scale new music theatre work drawing on music of the Roma tradition, staging the history of the Roma holocaust with a chorus, choir and orchestra drawn from secondary schools in Newham.

This year the show will be bigger than ever, with live orchestra, choir, professional performers and…you!

Your Role
You will be in our core chorus, a group of young people who will be on stage for the full show.  The role will include:

  • Acting, Singing and Moving on stage for the full show, in a run of performances based in Newham in Summer 2024.
  • Skills development in character work, stagecraft, singing technique, movement, storytelling and stage presence.
  • Working in rehearsal with our team of professional directors, choreographer, composer, designer and music director to create an amazing show.
  • Careers development, with the particular angle of going in to the performing arts.
  • A unique and special opportunity to work with other young people who are passionate about performing and theatre.
