Almost every year since 1948 to mark the death of John, known as Jack Cornwell who was posthumously awarded the Victoria Cross at the age of 16 for gallantry in the face of the enemy this Parade has been held in the East Ham area of London.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of his death and Newham Music’s Symphonic Wind Band have been invited to perform by The Royal British Legion.
