Terri Lyne Carrington and Social Science Community

November 16 @ 7:00 pm

£25.00

The resident artist at this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival is Terri Lyne Carrington, the legendary American drummer, composer, singer, and producer who has worked with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Dianne Reeves and Esperanza Spalding amongst others.

She will be taking up residence over the first weekend of the festival in Kings Place, as part of the Venus Unwrapped series, in what will be her first EFG London Jazz festival appearance since 2016.

This early evening performance of the composition Waiting Game, which was was first performed in New York in 2017, when Terri Lyne Carrington revealed her then new project Social Science, taking its strength from the expression of protest. The new album, due in October, takes its title from this track and carries on the essence of speaking out about the social issues with a spirit of hope.
