Tuba
This is a great instrument that really suits the comedian of the family! Great rasping low notes and a big, fat sound make it a popular instrument in bands – but there aren’t enough people playing it!
If you don’t mind carrying or wheeling the instrument about, you’ll find it a really satisfying instrument to play, and you’ll always be in demand. The music is usually not challenging, leaving you free to enjoy expressing yourself and providing a valuable service to the groups you’re in.
There aren’t many chances to take the front of the stage, but when you do get the tune… everyone listens!
We teach the tuba in schools across the borough and at Newham Music Academy, our after-school and Saturday music centre. To enquire about lessons please email info@newham-music.org.uk or call us on 020 3598 6260.
