A massive congratulations to Nelson Primary School from the London Borough of Newham, who were victorious at the recent Music & Drama Education Awards 2023.

Nelson Primary School won a prestigious national award at the 2023 Music & Drama Education Awards, picking up the accolade for Outstanding School Music Department.

Despite Nelson being the only primary school in the running, they saw off fierce competition such as The Bourne Academy from Bournemouth in order to receive this national recognition for all of their hard work.

Upon winning the award, the school announced their delight:

“We are so proud to announce that we are winners! Outstanding Music Department! This award is for all of our staff, pupils, parents and governors who make music such an important part of our school.”

Newham Music once again offer their full congratulations to Nelson Primary, in what was a fully deserved victory for school based in East Ham.
