Create, cultivate, orchestrate with ASMF

Create, Cultivate, Orchestrate with the prestigious Academy of St Martin in the Fields Orchestra is a three day project for young musicians aged 9 – 18.

The project, which has been running for three years, saw young musicians from Newham working with ASMF mentors and musicians to re-work a classical piece through improvising, composing and rehearsing together.

2015’s project ended with a performance at Canary Wharf where the young people performed the piece they had composed together, and were given a surprise visit and joined by the high-acclaimed violinist Joshua Bell!

2016’s project is currently in planning stage and will be announced shortly, to be the first to know – sign up to our newsletter at the top of the page.
